As societies become increasingly interconnected and complex, the role of social science education in shaping informed, engaged citizens is more critical than ever. This field, encompassing subjects such as sociology, political science, and economics, not only informs students about societal structures and dynamics but also fosters essential skills in critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and civic engagement. Despite the recognized importance of social science education, there exists a growing concern about its efficacy and relevance in today’s rapidly evolving educational environment. Recent studies suggest that traditional approaches to teaching social sciences may not fully address the needs of modern learners or equip them with the competencies required to navigate contemporary social issues effectively. This disjunction between educational practices and the demands of the 21st-century context underscores the need for a comprehensive reassessment of pedagogical strategies within social science education.

The importance of this research lies in its potential to bridge the gap between educational theory and practice. By providing empirical insights and practical recommendations, this study aims to contribute to the development of more effective and responsive educational practices. This, in turn, can better prepare students to understand and engage with the complexities of the social world, thereby fostering a more informed and active citizenry.  As educational institutions strive to adapt to the changing demands of the global society, this research offers valuable perspectives that can inform policy-making, curriculum development, and instructional practices. Ultimately, the goal is to advance the field of social science education and ensure that it remains a vibrant, relevant, and impactful component of the educational landscape.
